Die Strecke f\u00fchrt mit kurzem Zwischenhalt in Ano Gatzea von Lehonia bis zum beeindruckenden Bergdorf Milies und bietet atemberaubende Blicke auf das Meer und die D\u00f6rfer an der K\u00fcste, w\u00e4hrend man gleichzeitig die M\u00f6glichkeit bekommt, die wilde Natur aus n\u00e4chster N\u00e4he zu betrachten. Als es noch kaum Stra\u00dfen gab, stellte der Zug die einzige Verbindung zwischen Volos mit seiner Industrie und dem Hafen und dem westlichen Teil des Pilion dar. Hier faszinieren neben der Landschaft, in die die D\u00f6rfer eingebettet sind, die Architektur der alten Bauern- und Herrenh\u00e4user, die gepflasterten Pfade, auf denen man zu den zentralen Pl\u00e4tzen gelangt, und die im Schatten hoher, uralter Platanen ruhenden Pl\u00e4tze selbst.
